Verity’s love of media started when auditioning as a BBC weather girl many, many years ago. Unfortunately for her, she forgot her glasses and so couldn’t read the autocue very well so turned her attention to the world of PR.

She’s since built her reputation as a communications specialist over 20 years, creating communications and digital strategies for some of the most exciting B2B and B2C brands worldwide including Ericsson, Norton security, 3Mobile, 3M, Ovo Energy, First Utility, AXA PPP, BusinessLink and Groundwork UK.

She’s particularly skilled in legal, finance, technology, energy and the HR/ Learning and Development sectors and has built HeadOn PR to become well recognised as ‘the ideas people’ – a creative PR consultancy that creates different opportunities that go above and beyond expectations. Verity has also worked client side as well as in agency, so understands the demands of her clients and builds strategies that deliver against KPIs, supporting bottom line results.

Known for her straight-talking and direct style, Becky is a highly driven PR with over 20 years’ consumer, B2B and B2C experience and has worked both in-house and consultancy, including work for one of the country’s largest regional PR agencies.

In addition to her rapid, champagne-opening abilities thanks to her work for The National Lottery, Becky’s other areas of expertise include developing and implementing strategic, results-driven campaigns, media relations and event management for a host of major brands.  Her key sector experience includes HR, legal services and careers, health and leisure, property, education, energy and publishing.

Jo McConnell

Jo’s love of media started in her teens with an avid passion for fashion magazines and weekend newspaper supplements – inspiring her to seek a career in the world of journalism. After completing a degree in fashion journalism at London College of Fashion, her first role was as an assistant on the fashion desk at a national newspaper, where she learnt fast about what makes the media tick.

Progressing into the world of PR, with a desire to hone her communication skills in a business environment, Jo worked for a number of prestigious PR agencies across London, including Quantum PR, MSL and Ketchum, rising to the role of Associate Director across a portfolio of global consumer lifestyle, b2b and technology brands.

Now with over 20 years’ experience in media and public relations Jo really understands what is required to make a good story. She is most described as tenacious, enthusiastic and resourceful and continually strives to achieve exceptional results that make a business difference.

Dave’s career started at the BBC where he was trained as a radio Studio Manager. His BBC broadcast experience and later freelance career as a producer and presenter led him to champion the power of the professional broadcast-style interview as an effective, credible and authentic communications tools for businesses. During his career he has moved from a technical role to the creative production and presentation area of broadcast radio and TV, developing a varied skill-set encompassing audio and video production. 

Dave can create professional videos and podcasts for your organisation or a live event from planning through to web distribution. Drawing upon 30+ years in broadcast and video production, he can also help you refine your media skills, helping you prepare for those all-important media interviews, secured by our PR team. He can also show you how to use all forms of media as a platform to express yourself authentically and effectively.

Siobhan has experience across a wide range of sectors, working both in-house within the communications sector, and more recently as a consultant.

Her skillset covers developing data-led, comprehensive social media strategies that are designed to generate results, and in implementing these across the major social media platforms. Siobhan is also a qualified Facebook and Instagram advertising strategist, skilled in implementing paid social media campaigns, and generating a demonstrable ROI.

With a strong skillset in writing, Lucy’s passion for PR attracted her to an internship at the national brand Johnny Loves Rosie. The insight and experience gained led her to study for a Masters degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communication in 2017.

A role as a PR executive followed at one of 53 accredited Chambers of Commerce in the UK, where she assumed the role of editor at a regional business publication. 

Lucy is a B2B and B2C PR professional and media specialist, and supports with crafting powerful content for a range of publications, and across multiple social media platforms.

Lorna’s career in content writing began with a fascination in how people’s minds work, studying a BSc degree in psychology. A role as marketing manager followed and, finding most enjoyment in the creativity of writing, Lorna now specialises in copywriting that engages and inspires client’s specific target customers.

Her expertise covers all types of content for both B2B and B2C audiences from website copy, blogs, articles, email campaigns and newsletters, sales decks and corporate brochures, media and social media content, and investment pitches. 

Working for leading global brands, such as Dentsu Aegis Network, Holland & Barrett and Exodus Travels, Lorna creates first-rate work for a wide range of sectors including IT, travel and healthcare , creating high-quality content that delivers results for her clients every time.
