With over 25 years in PR, Verity holds the highest level degree from Bournemouth University’s Centre for Excellence in Media Practice. 

Building a reputation as a communications specialist, she has created communication and digital strategies for some of the most exciting B2B and B2C brands worldwide including Ericsson, Norton Security, 3Mobile and AXA PPP.

Skilled across multiple sectors including legal, finance, technology, energy and HR, Verity has built HeadOn PR to become well recognised as ‘the ideas people’ – a creative, digital PR consultancy that creates different opportunities that go above and beyond expectations. Verity has also worked client side, so understands the demands of her clients and builds strategies that deliver against KPIs, supporting bottom line results.

Known for her straight-talking and direct style, Becky is a highly driven PR with over 20 years’ consumer, B2B and B2C experience and has worked both in-house and consultancy, including work for one of the country’s largest regional PR agencies.

In addition to her rapid, champagne-opening abilities thanks to her work for The National Lottery, Becky’s other areas of expertise include developing and implementing strategic, results-driven campaigns, media relations and event management for a host of major brands.  Her key sector experience includes HR, legal services and careers, health and leisure, property, education, energy and publishing.

Jo McConnell

Jo’s love of media started in her teens with an avid passion for fashion magazines and weekend newspaper supplements – inspiring her to seek a career in the world of journalism. After completing a degree in fashion journalism at London College of Fashion, her first role was as an assistant on the fashion desk at a national newspaper, where she learnt fast about what makes the media tick.

Progressing into the world of PR, with a desire to hone her communication skills in a business environment, Jo worked for a number of prestigious PR agencies across London, including Quantum PR, MSL and Ketchum, rising to the role of Associate Director across a portfolio of global consumer lifestyle, b2b and technology brands.

Now with over 20 years’ experience in media and public relations Jo really understands what is required to make a good story. She is most described as tenacious, enthusiastic and resourceful and continually strives to achieve exceptional results that make a business difference.

Emily is a recent BA (Hons) Media and Journalism graduate, achieving a 2:1 degree from the University of the West of England, a top 40 university in the UK. Throughout her degree, Emily gained a wide range of invaluable skills needed to become a successful media and PR pro. With specialist insight into the global media landscape, Emily is highly adept at communicating to diverse audiences. 

Emily holds a strong skillset in writing, photography and video editing, podcasting and social media management.

An experienced PR and Communications specialist with a BA Hons Degree in Marketing, Advertising & PR from the University of Worcester, Rahim was previously editor of a Business Magazine sent to over 3,000 local businesses.

With a proven track record of growing brand awareness and managing business comms, Rahim has experience in writing across a range of media and tone of voice as well as developing social media strategies and raising business profiles.

Kristy is a passionate storyteller with a Master’s in Professional Writing from Falmouth University, with background in teaching English and a BA (Hons) in Anthropology from the University of Sussex. 

Kristy has the insight and skills required to bring a brand to life through the power of storytelling. During her Master’s degree, she developed skills to use stories to communicate the true essence of a brand; to show customers why they’re unique, why they’re worth knowing about, and why a client would benefit from connecting with them.

Ryan has over 25 years experience in the Home Services and Utilities sector, working across B2B and B2C channels. He demonstrates a rare breed of experience, having been involved and responsible for large scale transformation programmes and projects for companies undergoing significant periods of change where corporate communications are key.

He has delivered large-scale sales and business transformation projects across B2B/B2C sales channels, field operations, call centre and commercial functions for companies such as British Gas and Harvey Water Softeners (Culligan International), and thrives by supporting SMEs to scale, identifying opportunities and developing their sales strategy.

Guy is a time served SEO consultant working for over five years with over 125 organisations across three continents. He has experience working with both B2B and B2B clients across a wide range of sectors from technology, professional services to plant hire and hypnotherapy.

He works across a wide range of CMS systems and platforms including WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify and Umbraco to name a few. He concentrates on expediting ROI with a concentration on on-page optimisation techniques like keyword research, page optimisation, technical SEO and content management and then looking at longer term off-page optimisation including local SEO, competitor backlink analysis and link building.
